Tuesday, August 12, 2025 8:00PM AT THE STINNETT TOWN HALL (To directly follow the Regular Town Board Meeting but no earlier than 8pm) Posted on August 4, 2025 at the Town Hall, Outback Bar, Tranus Lake RD, and the Website by Town Clerk. AGENDA 1. Verification of Legal Posting Notice/Start of Meeting a. Roll Call Bill Cochran, Brian Takala, Jed Keenan, Sandy Johnson, Jill Washkuhn and Linda Asp. b. Call Meeting to Order at 8:20 c. Pledge of Allegiance 2. Review of Meeting Material 3. Approval of Agenda motion to approve made by Jed Keenan, 2nd by Brian Takala. 4. Public Input: Sandy Johnson Bass Lake Township Would be willing to place a weight limit sign on the corner of Larson Road and Zopp Road. 5. Specific matters for Discussion and/or Action by the Town Board: Decisions to go forward with the following road work per quotes received. -Review/Approve Quote from Oak Ridge Tree Solutions for Right of Way Clearing on Tranus Lake Rd. Some discussion details of the extent of the clearing. Brian Takala Advised property owners should be contacted prior to tree and brush removal. Bill Cochran Advised he would be contacting property owners before any work would be started. Approve quote of $6,000.00 Motion to approve made by Jed Keenan 2nd by Bill Cochran. -Review/Approve Quote from Oak Ridge Tree Solutions for Right of Way Clearing on Lee Rd Some discussion regarding clearing trees to prevent ice buildup as well as to preserve Lee Rd. Approve quote of $5,500. Motion to approve made by Jed Keenan 2nd by Bill Cochran. -Review/Approve Quote from Oak Ridge Tree Solutions for Right of Way Clearing on Vern's Rd. Approve quote of $8,500.00 Motion to approve made by Jed Keenan 2nd by Bill Cochran. -Review/Approve Quote from Statewide surfacing and construction for Road Work on Tranus lake Rd. Approve quote of $4,500.00 Motion to approve made by Jed Keenan 2nd by Bill Cochran. -Review/Approve Quote Statewide surfacing and construction for Road Shoulder Work on Lee Rd. STINNETT TOWN MEETING NOTICE 8/12/2025 7:00 PM AT THE STINNETT TOWN HALL Posted on 8/11/2025 at the Town Hall, Outback Bar, Tranus Lake RD, and the Website by Jill Washkuhn township clerk. AGENDA 1. Call Meeting to Order and roll, Bill Cochran , Brian Takala, Jed Keenan, Sandy Johnson, Jill Washkuhn and Linda Asp- community member Call at 7:01 pm by Bill Cochran 2. Verification of Legal Posting Notice and Pledge of Allegiance 3. Approval of Agenda next meeting date correction to 9/9/2025 motion to approve with correct date made by Brian Takala 2nd by Jed Keenan . 4. Review of Treasurer’s Report Sandy Johnson reviewed outstanding checks, All CDs have been renewed until 2026. Motion to approve by Brian Takala 2nd by Jed Keenan . 5. Approval of Town Board Meeting Minutes Regular meeting minutes approved, special meeting minutes correction to state record of meeting. Motion to approve with correction made by Brian Takala 2nd by Jed Keenan 6. Public Input None 7. Highway Construction and Maintenance Report/signage Update by Bill Cochran Scott Construction will start chip seal when they are available. Bill Cochran will contact the Washburn County Highway Dept to erect sign for Pike Road. Tree on Rice Road was cleaned up by Bill Cochran and Jed Keenan. Two oak trees down on Hayward Road was cleaned up by Bill Cochran and Jed Keenan on 8-9-2025. 8. Facilities Report: 9. Specific Matters for Discussion and/or Action by the Town Board: a. Follow-up on Pest Control Contract for Town Hall and Park Brian Takala will contact TJ to obtain certificate of insurance. b. Follow-up on Fire Extinguishers and CO Detectors for Hall and Park, Jed Keenan purchased 2 Carbon dioxide detectors and 4 smoke detectors for town hall and park. Bill Cochran and Jed Keenan to install at later date. Brian Takala has contacted Protective Services to obtain fire extinguishers. Plan to purchase four extinguishers at a cost of $100 each. A board member will pick up extinguishers at a later date. Motion to approve purchase Jed Keenan, 2nd by Brian Takala. c. Options to address drainage issues in front of Town Hall Bill Cochran Had contacted Doug at Statewide to address the drainage issue at Town hall. As well as address low areas at the Town hall plan to have gutters installed to decrease some water runoff into the hall. d. Maintenance and repair options for Town Park Pavilion Roof and Pit Toilet Roof Brian Takala Has not heard from manufacturer of the pit toilet cannot get a call back. Plan for Tom Crowley to assess both roof of the pavilion and pit toilet. e. Election matters: ICE voting machine training and pick up 9/4/25 Jill Washkuhn Washburn county clerk has reached out to update there will be a training how to use ICE voting machines on 9/4/25 at the County Courthouse. Training will start at 2:00 PM. All Election workers have been invited to attend training. f. Donation to Earl Cemetery Discussion regarding donating to the rural cemetery. This month Stinnett Township will be donating $200. And following up in September with $300. 10. Correspondence- Letters and Phone Calls Received Ethel Morse attended she was concern about the Railroad crossing on County Road E, As trees and vegetation have occluded a driver’s ability to see a train on the tracks. Ethel has contacted railroad company as well as Wild River She had been advised to talk to Stanette Township. Sandy Johnson Plans to contact a member of the Washburn County Highway Department to address this as this is a County Road. Bill Cochran attended North Ambulance Service, annual review Stinnett Township had 14 ambulance calls, 11 Code 2, 2 Code 3, response time 21 minutes. 2026-2027 annual cost increase 5 % depending on population. Received thank you from Sharon White for the use of the park for the Groat/Meir reunion. a Reservations for Town Hall or Town Park/Upcoming Meetings/Events/Miscellaneous Anniversary party to be held on August 30th 11. Payment of Vouchers, Statements, and Bills 12. Next Town Board Meeting September 9, 7 pm. 13. Agenda items for next Town Board Meeting Pest control insurance certification, Fire Protective Services Fire extinguisher, Roof leak at Park Pavilion and pit toilet, and adding gutters to town hall. 14.
