NOTICE OF PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING
FOR TOWN OF STINNETT, WASHBURN COUNTY Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Stinnett Town Hall, a PUBLIC HEARING on the PROPOSED 2026 BUDGET for the Town of Stinnett in Washburn County will be held. ****************************************************************** TOWN OF STINNETT, WASHBURN COUNTY TOWN BOARD MEETING The monthly Town Board Meeting will be held immediately after the Budget Hearing has been completed, but not before 7:00 PM. Agenda items will include the Town Board’s discussion on the adoption of the 2026 town budget, pursuant to Section 60.40 (4) of Wisconsin Statutes. 9/9/2025 7:00 PM AT THE STINNETT TOWN HALL AGENDA 1. Call Meeting to Order at and 7:00 pm roll call completed those in attendance; Bill Cochran, Brian Takala, Jed Keenan, Sandy Johnson, Jill Washkuhn and Linda Asp township resident. 2. Verification of Legal posting Notice posted on 9/8/2025 at the Town Hall, OutbackBar, Tranus Lake RD, and the Website by Jill Washkuhn township clerk. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. 3. Agenda approved motion made by Brian Takala, 2nd by Jed Keenan. 4. Review of Treasurer’s Report, Sandy Johnson had board review snow plow contract for winter 2025 to 20206, motion made to approve by Brian Takala, 2nd by Jed Keenan. 5. Review regular meeting minutes for August, note spelling corrections need to be made, motion made to approve minutes made by Brian Takala, 2nd by Jed Keenan. Review special town board meeting minutes, motion made to approve by Jed Keenan, 2nd by Briand. 6. Public Input: Bill Cochran received a call regarding an animal digging under the stairs at town hall, 7. Highway Construction and Maintenance Report/signage: Pike road sign was placed. Sign is needed at Chippanazie road and Chippanazie Lake Road, Bill Cochran plans to look into this. 8. Facilities Report: Pest control to start at anytime as COI was received. Brian Takala plans to contact Jay regarding fire extinguishers at town hall and park. Bill Cochran will look into moving handicapped parking at town hall. As current parking space is not easily accessed for vehicle to park. Jed Keenan plans to measure and install gutters on the townhall. 9. Specific Matters for Discussion and/or Action by the Town Board: *Town park Issues with Pit Toilet and Pavilion Roof: Brian Takala has a contact with the manufacture of the pit toilet, plans to inquire what is the correct repair to roof. Pavilion Roof: Tom Crowley has evaluated roof repair, plan to obtain quote/BID for materials and labor for roof repair *Insurance Audit Follow-up: Bill Cochran reviewed the amount of work need to complete audit. Audit has been completed no more information has been requested. *Discuss Mail issues and possible solutions: Duhe to recent mail issues, Bill Cochran will be discussing with post master regarding possible placement of town hall mailbox or possible post office box *Brush Clearing on Brickman Lake Road Bridge: Bill Cochran, Brian Takala and Jed Keenan plan to clear brush around the Brickman Lake bridge on Sunday 9/14/25 at 5 pm. -Upcoming Meetings 9/17 WTA Workshop in Cable, Bill Cochran and Jill Washkuhn plan to attend 10. Correspondence- Letters and Phone Calls Received Bill Cochran received call regarding animal digging under stars at all. Bill Cochran receive letter from DNR asking to store 14 concrete blocks at Tranus Lake boat landing as part of an assessment of wild rice project. Cal Davis called asking to have tree removed from Pike Road, Brian Takala evaluated. Tree did not fall on township road. Jed Keenan was approached by Lenroot employ regarding plow being able to turn or back out of Olson Road. After discussed Jed Keenan will advise Lenroot to contact property owner at the end of Olson Road. a Reservations for Town Hall or Town Park/Upcoming Meetings/Events/Miscellaneous Non 11. Agenda items for next Town Board Meeting: Pavilion rood repair quote/BID, Mail box options, Park pit toilet roof repair. 14.
