STINNETT TOWN BOARD MEETING MAY 9, 2023 – TOWN HALL AGENDA WAS POSTED MAY 7, 2023 AT THE TOWN HALL, TRANUS LAKE RD, OUTBACK BAR, AND ON THE WEBSITE BY KATIE PARKS, CLERK. PRESENT: GARY ELLIOTT, CHAIRMAN; SANDY JOHNSON, TREASURER; BRIAN TAKALA, SUPERVISOR; KATIE PARKS, CLERK; BILL COCHRAN, SUPERVISOR; AND NAOMI COCHRAN. 1. VERIFICATION OF LEGAL POSTING DONE BY THE CLERK ROLL CALL: ELLIOTT, TAKALA, COCHRAN, JOHNSON, AND PARKS - ALL PRESENT CHAIRMAN CALLED MEETING TO ORDER AT 7:00 PM PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE RECITED 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA - MOTION BY BRIAN TAKALA TO APPROVE THE AGENDA, 2ND BILL COCHRAN, MOTION CARRIED. 3. TREASURER’S REPORT SUBMITTED BY SANDY JOHNSON – CD RENEWALS WERE DISCUSSED FULLY WITH 3 OPTIONS. MOTION BY BILL COCHRAN TO APPROVE A $25,000 CD WITH SHELL LAKE STATE BANK AT 4.25% FOR 11 MONTHS AND THE OTHER $25,000 CD WITH FRANDSEN BANK & TRUST FOR 4.1% WITH ONE TIME BUMP UP FOR 17 MONTHS, 2ND BY BRIAN TAKALA. MOTION CARRIED. SANDY JOHNSON WILL SUBMIT THE NECESSARY PAPERS TO THE BANKS. ALSO, THE CLERK WILL CONTACT WTA TO SEE WHAT THE PROCEDURE IS TO LEGALLY APPLY A $20.00 NSF FEE FOR ALL RETURNED CHECKS. 4. MINUTES FOR THE APRIL 18, 2023 TOWN BOARD MEETING APPROVED AS READ 5. HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE REPORT: THE GRAVEL ROADS NOT YET DONE AND POT HOLES STILL TO BE FILLED. THE CHAIRMAN WILL TALK TO STATEWIDE CONSTRUCTION AS TO WHEN THESE WILL BE COMPLETED. 6. PUBLIC INPUT – CHAIRMAN ELLIOTT TALKED TO SCOTT ASP REGARDING OUR PROBLEM WITH BEAVERS. SCOTT TOLD HIM HE HAD CAPTURED 8 BEAVERS ON RICE RD AND 6 ON THE ZBILICKI PROPERTY OFF OF HWY 63. HE WAS NOT PLANNING TO CHARGE THE TOWN FOR THEIR REMOVAL AS THE PELTS WERE REALLY BIG. 7. SPECIFIC MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION AND ACTION BY THE TOWN BOARD: A. ROAD REVIEW – SUPERVISORS TAKALA AND COCHRAN DISCUSSED WITH CHAIRMAN ELLIOTT THE ROAD CONDITIONS AND TOGETHER THEY WILL DECIDE WHAT THE TOWN NEEDS TO DO THIS YEAR ALONG WITH SOME CULVERT ISSUES THAT THEY CAME UPON. B. CLEAN-UP DAY WILL BE MAY 13TH AS SCHEDULED. ANY RESIDENT DROPPING OFF ITEMS WILL NEED TO TAKE THEM TO ROY’S ENTERPRISE IN HAYWARD WHERE THE CHAIRMAN AND OTHERS WILL BE THERE TO HELP YOU UNLOAD. ROY’S IS LOCATED ON WEST NURSERY RD, WHICH IS THE FIRST RIGHT TURN AFTER THE LP ENTRANCE THEN AN IMMEDIATE LEFT TURN. YOU CAN SEE THE SIGN FROM HIGHWAY 63. IF YOU COME TO THE TOWN HALL THE CLERK WILL DIRECT YOU THERE AND GIVE YOU A MAP. THE HOURS ARE THE SAME AS LAST YEAR - 9AM TO 1PM. SEE WEBSITE FOR DETAILS. C. MEETINGS - NONE FOR JUNE AS OF THIS DAY D.
