THE CHAIRMAN TALKED TO THE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPT ABOUT A WEIGHT RESTRICTION VIOLATION THAT CAUSED DAMAGE ON BRICKMAN LAKE RD BY A DUMP TRUCK. HE WAS TOLD THAT THERE IS NO WAY TO ENFORCE THE VIOLATION WITHOUT PORTABLE WEIGHT SCALES WHICH THE COUNTY DOES NOT HAVE AN INSPECTOR ABLE TO DO THIS. THE TOWN COULD FILE A CIVIL CLAIM AGAINST THE TRUCKING COMPANY BUT WOULD STILL NEED PROOF. B. CLEAN-UP DAY WILL BE SATURDAY, JUNE 15TH AT ROY’S IN HAYWARD FROM 9:00 AM TO 1:00 PM THE SAME AS LAST YEAR . C. APPROVAL OF LIQUOR LICENSES FOR OUTBACK BAR AND STANBERRY BAR FOR NEXT TERM, AND TOBACCO AND BARTENDER’S LICENSE FOR STANBERRY BAR FOR SAME WERE DISCUSSED. MOTION TO APPROVE ALL BY BRIAN TAKALA, 2ND BILL COCHRAN, MOTION CARRIED. D. DISCUSSION WITH JOHN KIEFER FOR LIQUOR LICENSE FOR AN EVENT CENTER HE WILL BE BUILDING. GAVE HIM INFORMATION ON LIQUOR LICENSE LAWS REGARDING A LICENSE THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE PURCHASED FROM ANOTHER TOWNSHIP AS WE HAVE NONE AVAILABLE. HE WILL PASS THE INFORMATION ON TO THE INVESTOR HE WOULD BE WORKING FOR. E. PARKING SITUATION AT THE TOWN HALL AND THE PARKING LOT ACROSS THE STREET WAS DISCUSSED. IT IS A HAZARDOUS SITUATION ESPECIALLY DURING ELECTIONS. TWO LIGHTED SIGNS @ $160.00 AND ORANGE CONES @ $47.86 COULD BE PURCHASED TO BRING ATTENTION TO PEOPLE CROSSING THE ROAD OR PULLING OUT OF THE PARKING AREAS. MOTION TO APPROVE PURCHASE BY GARY ELLIOTT, 2ND BILL COCHRAN, MOTION CARRIED. F. CONSTABLE POSITION FOR THE TOWN WILL BE DISCUSSED WITH A FULL DUTY DESCRIPTION AT A MEETING BEFORE NEXT YEAR’S CAUCUS FOR POSSIBLE SPOT ON THE BALLOT IN THE SPRING. 8.
