STINNETT TOWN BOARD MEETING JUNE 13, 2023 – TOWN HALL AGENDA WAS POSTED JUNE 11, 2023 AT THE TOWN HALL, TRANUS LAKE RD, OUTBACK BAR, AND ON THE WEBSITE BY KATIE PARKS, CLERK. PRESENT: GARY ELLIOTT, CHAIRMAN; SANDY JOHNSON, TREASURER; BRIAN TAKALA, SUPERVISOR; KATIE PARKS, CLERK; BILL COCHRAN, SUPERVISOR 1. VERIFICATION OF LEGAL POSTING DONE BY THE CLERK ROLL CALL: ELLIOTT, TAKALA, COCHRAN, JOHNSON, AND PARKS - ALL PRESENT CHAIRMAN CALLED MEETING TO ORDER AT 7:00 PM PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE RECITED 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA - MOTION BY BRIAN TAKALA TO APPROVE THE AGENDA, 2ND BILL COCHRAN, MOTION CARRIED. 3. TREASURER’S REPORT SUBMITTED BY SANDY JOHNSON – CD RENEWALS REVIEWED NOTING BANK CHANGES. RETURNED CHECK FEE DISCUSSED PER WTA INFORMATION. MUST BE A TOWN POLICY APPROVED BY THE BOARD. MOTION BY BILL COCHRAN TO APPROVE CURRENT NSF FEE OUR BANK CHARGES FOR ANY RETURNED CHECKS AS A TOWN POLICY, 2ND BRIAN TAKALA. MOTION CARRIED. AN OFFICIAL POLICY FORM WILL BE DRAWN UP FOR REVIEW AT THE NEXT MEETING. 4. MINUTES FOR THE MAY 9, 2023 TOWN BOARD MEETING APPROVED AS READ 5. HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE REPORT: THE GRAVEL ROADS NOT YET DONE AS WE NEED RAIN. TREE CLEAN UP ALONG TOWN ROADS DISCUSSED. SMALL ONES CAN BE DONE BY HAND BY OUR BOARD MEMBERS. LARGER WORK NEEDS TO BE HIRED. WILL CONTACT SPRINGBROOK TOWNSHIP AS TO WHO THEY HIRED FOR LARGER WORK. 6. PUBLIC INPUT – FANS FOR THE PARK SHELTER AND NOTIFYING THE VETERANARY CLINIC OF FIREWORKS DISPLAY ON JULY 1ST WERE MENTIONED. 7. SPECIFIC MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION AND ACTION BY THE TOWN BOARD: A. APPROVAL OF LIQUOR LICENSES FOR STANBERRY RAIL SALOON AND THE OUTBACK WERE DISCUSSED ALONG WITH A BARTENDER’S LICENSE FOR STANBERRY. MOTION TO APPROVE ALL BY BILL COCHRAN, 2ND BRIAN TAKALA. MOTION CARRIED. NEW LICENSES FOR THE NEXT YEAR WILL BE SENT OUT FRIDAY THE 16TH OF JUNE. B. CLEAN-UP DAY – 20 TOTAL RESIDENTS W/SOME MULTIPLE DROPS RECORDED. THE AMOUNT REIMBURSED BY THE COUNTY IS $2,400 THIS YEAR AND CAN BE A TOTAL OF A SPRING CLEANING AND FALL CLEANING IF NECESSARY. SO FAR WE HAVE BEEN BILLED $1,313.90 BY ROY’S ENTERPRISE. WILL DECIDE LATER IF ANOTHER CLEAN-UP DAY IS TO BE SCHEDULED THIS FALL. C. TOWN ROADS MOWING & BOOM CUTTING TO BE REVIEWED AGAIN AFTER MORE INFO IS OBTAINED. D. TOWN PICNIC – UPDATED WILL FINALIZE AT NEXT MEETING E. REPLACEMENT OF FLAG POLE LIGHT VOTED ON - BILL COCHRAN MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE, GARY ELLIOTT 2ND, MOTION CARRIED. BRIAN WILL PURCHASE A NEW ONE. 8. CORRESPONDENCE - LETTERS AND PHONE CALLS RECEIVED: A. TOWNHALL – NEW FLAGPOLE LIGHT (SEE ABOVE) B. TOWN PARK – 1) RUMMAGE SALE WILL BE ON FRIDAY, JUNE 16TH AND SATURDAY, JUNE 17TH AND THEN AGAIN THE NEXT WEEKEND ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, THE 23RD & 24TH. C. MEETINGS – WTA UNIT MEETING - JULY 26, 2023 IN SHELL LAKE 7:00 PM D. MISCELLANEOUS – DISCUSSED GARBAGE PICKUP AT THE PARK BY REPUBLIC - HAS NOT TAKEN PLACE. THE CHAIRMAN WILL CONTACT THEM THIS TIME. 9. BILLS FOR PAYMENT APPROVED AND CHECKS SIGNED 10. NEXT TOWN BOARD MEETING – JULY 11, 2023 AT 7:00 PM 11.
