Bill & Naomi Cochran, Dave Maki, Howard Flamang, Tom Johnson Called to Order by Town Chairman, Bill Groat at 6:30 PM. Minutes taken by Town Clerk, Katie Parks. Pledge of Allegiance recited. Approval of the minutes for the 2018 Annual Meeting – Bill Cochran made the motion to approve, 2nd by Naomi Cochran. Motion carried. Y-7 N-0 Discussed Pike Rd. It is on the Town’s five-year plan to have work done. Has been graded and the ditches cleaned up. The town has budgeted $5,000 a year to keep up the road. Has been a lot less dumping of garbage and other junk since the road has been worked on. It may need a couple of culverts eventually. Chippanazie Rd has been budgeted to have a section done each year as the cost of asphalt has greatly increased. Clean-up day is Saturday, May 11th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. A notice will be posted with the hours and what can be disposed of. We will also hand out flyers on Clean-up day for the Annual Town Picnic. The 2019 budget was reviewed. The only question from Bill Cochran was on DUIBAI expenditure. We still haven’t been able to figure what that was for, nor have we received any billing for such so it was deleted from the budget. The budget for 2019 was approved at an earlier board meeting. The 5th Annual Town Picnic will be on July 13th at the Town Park in Stanberry from Noon - ?? A notice will be posted and Flyers will be sent out by our Treasurer, Sandy Johnson in June as a reminder and we will also hand out flyers on Clean-up day to residents dropping off items. Volunteers for both the picnic and Clean-up day are much appreciated. Contact the Board if you would like to help. Snowplowing for the town for the next winter season was discussed. Plowing for residents at $90 for the entire winter season will remain the same. Some years we do well and others we lose but it is still a perk for only residents of our town. Those present were satisfied with the plowing done by Statewide as contractor. Motion by Bill Cochran to approve the $90 again and keep Statewide. 2nd Dave Maki. Motion carried. Y -9 N-0 A discussion on the town officials’ wages was brought up by Gary Elliott and a comparison to other townships was reviewed. There has been no raise for our town officials since before 2005. A motion was made by Howard Flamang to increase the wages for all town officials by 1/3. This would be effective next year. 2nd by Bill Cochran. Motion carried. Y-9 N-0 The Annual Meeting for next year will be on April 21, 2019 at 6:30 (3rd Tuesday of the month). Motion to adjourn at 7:09 pm by Bill Cochran, 2nd Dave Maki. Motion carried.
