IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING TAX PAYMENTS AND DOG LICENSES Due to C1DVID•19 those wishing to pay their Property Taxes "in person" will have to call for an appointment. For those paying Taxes in "CASH", please bring the- exact amount, as I will be unable to make change. Please make separate checks for Personal Property Tax, Real Estate Tax, and Dog Licenses. POSTMARKED PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED. Those wishing to drop off Tax and Dog payments, there is a drop box located at my home that I check regularly. Pursuant to WI Stat. 174.052, notice is hereby given to all Washburn County dog owners that you are required to license and vaccinate for rabies, under the provisions of WI Stat. 95.21(2), any dog over 5 months of age. (Statute defines a "dog owner" as anyone who owns/harbors or keeps a dog.) The license year is defined as January 1 - December 31. Dogs not licensed by April 1st or within 30 days of acquiring ownership, or after reaching 5 months of age, are subject to a late fee of not less than $5.00 per dog. Owners who fail to license or vaccinate a dog pursuant to the above statutes are subject to citation and forfeiture. Dog owners MUST present "EVIDENCE" that the dog is neutered or spayed by "SENDING" your "VETERINARIAN'S RABIES CERTIFICATE; and payment of $5 for a neutered male dog or spayed female dog or $10 for an unneutered male dog or unspayed female dog. Multiple dog license fees are: $50 for up to 12 dogs and $5.00 for each additional dog (s 174.052) in order to obtain a license. YOUR VETERINARIAN'S CERTIFICATE WILL BE RETURNED PROMPTLY WITH YOUR LICENSE.
