PRESENT: BILL GROAT CHAIRMAN; GARY ELLIOTT, SUPERVISOR; DONALD PLANTE, SUPERVISOR; KATIE PARKS, CLERK, SANDY JOHNSON, TREASURER. 1. VERIFICATION OF LEGAL POSTING DONE BY THE CLERK
ROLL CALL: GROAT, ELLIOTT, PLANTE, JOHNSON, PARKS CHAIRMAN CALLED MEETING TO ORDER AT 7:00 PM PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE RECITED 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA - MOTION BY DONALD PLANTE, 2ND GARY ELLIOTT. MOTION CARRIED. 3. TREASURER’S REPORT SUBMITTED BY SANDY JOHNSON WAS REVIEWED. 4. MINUTES FOR THE MAY 8, 2018 BOARD MEETING APPROVED AS READ. 5. HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE REPORT A) SUGARBUSH RD DAMAGE BROUGHT TO ATTENTION OF THE RAILROAD AGAIN AND NO RESPONSE FROM THEM AGAIN. THE BOARD WILL CHECK TO SEE IF THE ROAD CAN BE BANNED TO THE CONTRACTORS DOING THE DAMAGE. THEY WILL CHECK WITH THE WTA AND THE STATE STATUTES. A LETTER MAY HAVE TO BE DRAFTED AND SENT TO CN RAILROAD SINCE THEY DON’T RESPOND TO PHONE CALLS. THE ROAD WAS GRADED THIS LAST WEEK, BUT DAMAGE TOO EXTREME TO DO ANY GOOD. A LETTER WILL BE DRAFTED. B) RIGHT OF WAY MOWING TO BE DONE BY JULY 1ST. 6. PUBLIC INPUT – A) AMBULANCE LETTER FOR BID FROM SAWYER COUNTY AMBULANCE WAS DRAFTED BY SUPERVISOR ELLIOTT AND REVIEWED. WILL BE SIGNED AND SENT OUT AT NEXT MEETING. B) BAITING ON PRIVATE PROPERTY W/4-WHEELERS HAS BEEN DISCOVERED BY BOARD MEMBERS AND IS ILLEGAL. ANY CALLS TO THE COUNTY AUTHORITIES IN THIS REGARD HAVE HAD NO RESPONSE BY THEM. 7. SPECIFIC MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION AND ACTION BY THE TOWN BOARD: A. DISCUSSION ON THE ADDITIONAL 400’ OF WORK ON CHIPPANAZIE RD. GRAVEL WILL BE CHEAPER AS WE WILL GET IT FROM TOWN OF HAYWARD. THIS WILL KEEP THE COST DOWN AND WILL STILL BE UNDER THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. MOTION TO APPROVE BY GARY ELLIOTT, 2ND DONALD PLANTE. MOTION CARRIED. B. LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATIONS FOR OUTBACK AND STANBERRY RAIL REVIEWED. MOTION TO APPROVE BY DONALD PLANTE, 2ND GARY ELLIOTT, MOTION CARRIED. C. CLEAN-UP DAY RECAP. A GOOD TURNOUT OF RESIDENTS. BILLING FROM ROY’S FOR $1,476.50 PLUS THE COST OF POSTAGE $45.00 FOR MAILERS. D. ROAD REVIEW UPDATE: TOWNLINE ROAD RATED 5 AND TRANUS LAKE RD NEEDS GRAVEL. E. FINAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR JULY 14TH TOWN PICNIC WERE MADE F. EARL CEMETERY DONATION OF $400 FOR 2018.
