ROLL CALL: GROAT, JOHNSON, PARKS, PLANTE, ELLIOTT CHAIRMAN CALLED MEETING TO ORDER AT 7:00 PM PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE RECITED 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA - MOTION BY BILL GROAT, DONALD PLANTE 2ND, MOTION CARRIED. 3. TREASURER’S REPORT SUBMITTED BY SANDY JOHNSON. 4. MINUTES FOR THE MAY 5, 2020 TOWN BOARD MEETING WAS APPROVED AS READ. 5. HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE REPORT: A) SUGAR BUSH RD SIGN NOT UP YET. B) TWO WEEKS BEFORE CHIPPANAZIE RD WILL BE STARTED. C) LOGGING COMPANY ASKED IF WE COULD UPDATE AND/OR IMPROVE PIKE RD AS THEY WILL BE DOING LOGGING THERE. IT IS NOT IN OUR BUDGET. 6. PUBLIC INPUT – REQUEST FROM DENISE JOHNSON AS TO A DISCOUNT FOR LIQUOR LICENSE FEE DUE TO BEING CLOSED BECAUSE OF COVID 19. THE TOWN CHAIRMAN ALREADY PLANNED TO PROPOSE ONE AT THIS MEETING FOR THE OUTBACK BAR AND STANBERRY RAIL. 7. SPECIFIC MATTERS FOR DISCUSSION AND ACTION BY THE TOWN BOARD: A. MAY 12TH ELECTION TURNOUT WAS GOOD. 60 VOTERS TOTAL: TIFFANY 42 VOTES AND ZUNKER 18 VOTES. B. CLEAN-UP DAY RECAP: 33 RESIDENTS DROPPED OFF RECYCLING ITEMS, 8 CAME BACK WITH MORE A COUPLE TIMES. TOTAL COST WAS $2,301.75 MINUS $2,200.00 RECEIVED FROM THE COUNTY FOR REIMBURSEMENT, LEAVING US A TOTAL COST OF $101.75. THAT’S WHAT WE’RE TALKING ABOUT! C. LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATIONS WERE REVIEWED AND THE CHAIR PROPOSED A $75.00 DISCOUNT FOR THE THREE MONTHS THE TWO BUSINESSES WERE CLOSED DUE TO COVID 19. MOTION TO APPROVE BY GARY ELLIOTT, 2ND DONALD PLANTE. MOTION CARRIED. 8. CORRESPONDENCE- LETTERS AND PHONE CALLS RECEIVED: A. TOWNHALL B. TOWN PARK – 1) THRIFT SALE SATURDAY JUNE 13TH FROM 8:00 AM TO 3:00 PM 2) EAGLE WASTE WILL SERVICE THE PARK EFF 6-1-20. C. MEETINGS – TENTATIVE AMBULANCE MEETING SET FOR SEPTEMBER. THEY WILL E-MAIL US WITH EXACT DATE AND TIME. D. MISCELLANEOUS – 1) DISCUSSED IN LENGTH THE EARL CEMETERY DONATION AND THE COSTS INCURRED TAKING CARE OF THE GROUNDS. WILL ADD TO THE AGENDA IN JULY TO DISCUSS OUR TOWN’S DONATION. 2) RECEIVED SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE LUEDTKE PROPERTY IN STANBERRY THAT IS OVERRUN WITH VEHICLES. ARE THEY JUNK OR NOT? IS HE RUNNING SOME TYPE OF BUSINESS THAT SHOULD CHANGE THE ZONING ON THIS PROPERTY? NEIGHBORS CAN INSTALL FENCING TO BLOCK THE VIEW, PER STATUTES, AND ASK THE OWNER TO PAY HALF. NO SOLID SOLUTIONS AT THE PRESENT TIME. 9. BILLS FOR PAYMENT APPROVED AND CHECKS SIGNED 10. NEXT TOWN BOARD MEETING – JULY 14, 2020 AT 7:00 PM 11.
