APPROVED MINUTES SPECIAL TOWN MEETING JUNE 14, 2021 – TOWN HALL AGENDA WAS POSTED JUNE 11, 2021 AT THE TOWN HALL, OUTBACK BAR, HWY F/TRANUS LAKE RD, AND ON THE TOWN WEBSITE BY KATIE PARKS, CLERK. PRESENT: GARY ELLIOTT, CHAIRMAN; SANDY JOHNSON, TREASURER; DONALD PLANTE, SUPERVISOR; DAYNA DULLINGER, SUPERVISOR; KATIE PARKS, CLERK 1. VERIFICATION OF LEGAL POSTING DONE BY THE CLERK
ROLL CALL: ELLIOTT, JOHNSON, PARKS, PLANTE, DULLINGER– ALL PRESENT CHAIRMAN CALLED MEETING TO ORDER AT 6:00 PM PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE RECITED 2. APPROVAL OF AGENDA - MOTION BY DAYNA DULLINGER, 2ND DONALD PLANTE, MOTION CARRIED. 3. SPECIFIC MATTER FOR DISCUSSION AND ACTION BY THE TOWN BOARD: A. KAY HOFFMAN APPLICATION FOR A VARIANCE FROM WASHBURN COUNTY FOR A ROAD SET BACK REDUCTION OF 56’ ON HWY M, STANBERRY TO BUILD A GARAGE: AFTER DISCUSSING THE FACT THAT THE ROAD HAS BEEN MOVED TWICE AFFECTING THE PROPERTY, AND THE LAST HWY M PROJECT TOOK MORE OF THE PROPERTY IN QUESTION, THE COUNTY SHOULD TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION WHEN MAKING A DECISION ON THE VARIANCE REQUEST. THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED THAT THE VARIANCE BE APPROVED AND PETITIONED THE COUNTY TO APPROVE IT AS WELL PROVIDED THERE ARE NO SAFETY CONCERNS. THE WASHBURN COUNTY ZONING VARIANCE FORM WAS COMPLETED AND SIGNED BY ALL BOARD MEMBERS AND THE CLERK. IT WILL BE FORWARDED TO THE COUNTY FOR THEIR JULY 6TH PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS SUBJECT. 4. PUBLIC INPUT – KAY HOFFMAN ATTENDED AND EXPLAINED HER INTENT TO BUILD A NEW GARAGE. SHE ALSO SUGGESTED VACATING THE ALLEY THAT RUNS ALONG THE EAST EDGE OF HER PROPERTY IN ORDER TO SET THE GARAGE BACK EVEN FURTHER. THAT WILL BE ADDED TO THE AGENDA FOR THE REGULAR JULY MEETING AFTER SOME INVESTIGATION INTO THE PROCESS OF VACATING AN ALLEY. 5.
