NEW ADDRESS SIGNS

ANNOUNCEMENT
Address Sign Replacement Project for the Towns of Chicog, Brooklyn, Trego, Springbrook, Stinnett, Frog Creek and  Minong beginning spring of 2022.

In 2022 Washburn County will be replacing all single sided 911 address signs with new flag style signs for the above townships. The purpose of this project is to replace all old Signs that are non-reflective, damaged, missing, or of an old style that is parallel to the roadway. The new signs are highly reflective and flag style (perpendicular to the roadway) enabling first responders to identify addresses in advance from either direction.

​Details for the new signs are as follows:

• The replacement sign project is being funded by State Grant dollars.
• Address signs for the above Townships will be ordered and installed in 2022.
• The County has hired a local company for the installation of the signs. The contractor shall follow guidelines on where to place the sign for uniformity county-wide. Please do not alter the sign in any way including moving its location.
• The Signs are to be kept clear of visual obstructions to aid in the rapid identification by first responders. This is the responsibility of the resident or land owners.
